About
With nearly two decades on the road, Asfixia Social is ready to cross borders once again. The São Paulo-based band has officially announced its new international live schedule, bringing the power of street culture and its distinctly Brazilian blend of riffs, horns and groove to European audiences this autumn.
The tour comes in the wake of the release of the band's 4th studio album, Mess Bigger, produced by Pedro Garcia (Planet Hemp). Known for incendiary live performances, the five-piece - Kaneda Mukhtar (vocals and trumpet), Thiko Garcia (guitar), Leo Oliveira (bass), Jahya (saxophone) and Barba (drums) - promises to turn European stages into spaces for collective expression, resistance and occupation.
Support is going to be from Aberystwyth legends The Red Bastards, its gonna be their second time at hippos after supporting Wonk Unit a while ago and i gotta say that these guys rock. Super tight Welsh punk with some cracking riffs.
