Beach Rugby is played as touch rugby, but the matches can be very physical. A few touch rugby teams that have previously taken part haven’t reached the pool stages due to the physicality of the competition.

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Beach Rugby Wales and the 19th annual tournament.

Sixty teams will compete in a thrilling 6-a-side format on the scenic Swansea Bay.
