About

Wednesday 1 April, 10am-12pm

Ideal for 8-12 year olds, but all ages and abilities welcome.

Let’s play around with making visual poems such as blackout poems and collage poems. We will be inspired by Dylan Thomas and the natural world to make poems that use words and images, pushing the boundaries of what a poem is.

A workshop where we can make stuff, write stuff and create stuff through recycling. We can chat about how these activities help our sense of wellbeing and allow us to think outside the box – much like Dyl635204an did when he painted a giraffe and an acrobat on the beach!

Ffion Jones is a Creative Practitioner from Swansea with a background in creative writing, performing arts and therapeutic practices.

Please book your free place here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/dylanthomas

Adults are welcome to join in with their child! Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

Free entry!

This workshop is part of a Welsh Government funded partnership project between the Dylan Thomas Centre and Swansea Museum, which explores natural history through Dylan Thomas’ writing.
