About

In this workshop, participants will create a hanging fish mobile inspired by Jesus' call to "Follow me" (Matthew 4:19). Through gentle, creative making, we will reflect on what it means to listen, respond, and follow.

Using white crayons, participants will create patterns freely or with simple stencils before painting over them with watercolours, allowing the designs to be revealed. Fish shapes will then be traced, cut out, and assembled onto twine, before being hung from a piece of driftwood to create a finished mobile.

The slow, repetitive nature of drawing, painting, and assembling supports wellbeing by encouraging calm focus and mindful attention. Working with watercolour and simple construction helps reduce stress, supports creativity without pressure, and allows participants to feel present in the moment while creating something meaningful to take home.
