Giselle tells the heart-breaking story of a peasant girl who falls deeply in love with Prince Albrecht, unaware of his true identity. When the truth is revealed and her heart shatters, Giselle succumbs to her grief.

In the spirit world, she joins the Wilis — the ghosts of betrayed young women who dance men to death. Yet when Albrecht arrives at her grave, Giselle's love rises above vengeance, protecting him from the Wilis' deadly fate.
