Award-winning folk singer Heidi Talbot blends Irish roots with transatlantic flair in an evening of timeless songs and intimate performance. From her gossamer voice to her delicate reworking of traditional and contemporary material, she revisits favourites and shares new work from her upcoming album Grace Untold. Over two decades, she’s toured worldwide and recorded with artists from Mark Knopfler to Eddi Reader. On this tour, Heidi is joined by multi-instrumentalist Toby Shaer, singing songs new and old with a dash of humour and a good measure of storytelling. A night not to be missed!
Born in Ireland, Heidi Talbot first gained recognition as a member of the acclaimed Irish-American band Cherish the Ladies before establishing herself as a solo artist. Now based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Heidi’s voice and performances have won rave reviews for their blend of traditional folk roots and contemporary influences. Originally from County Kildare and having spent years in New York, she moves effortlessly between musical worlds while maintaining a grounded, modest connection to folk traditions.
Over the past twenty years, Heidi has performed on some of the world’s finest stages—from concert halls and international festivals across North and South America, the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, to unique venues including symphony orchestras and even the White House.
Other arists that Heidi has collaborated with include, Graham Coxon (Blur), Idlewild, Matt Rollings, King Creosote, Kris Drever, Tim O’Brien, and Jerry Douglas. Heidi released four solo albums under the Nashville-based Compass Records label, and in the last six years has self-released four more albums and EPs distributed by Universal Records, including the critically acclaimed Sing It For A Lifetime.
Her accolades include nominations for Folk Singer of the Year and Best Traditional Song by BBC Radio 2, Best Live Act at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards, and Best Female Vocalist at the Irish Music Awards. In 2023, she was honoured as Composer of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards. Heidi’s ninth studio album, Grace Untold, is set for release in October 2025.
