From redefining British drama with It's a Sin and Doctor Who, to his upcoming collaboration with Michael Sheen on Our Town — the inaugural production of Welsh National Theatre at the Swansea Grand Theatre. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the UK's most influential creative voices.

Russell T Davies OBE is a celebrated Welsh television writer and producer, residing in Swansea, known for creating and producing impactful dramas Queer as Folk and It's a Sin, as well as reviving and show running Doctor Who. He is a recipient of multiple BAFTA Awards and will soon receive the BAFTA Cymru prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Television Award. Russell serves as a Creative Associate for the Welsh National Theatre (WNT), collaborating with Michael Sheen on its inaugural production, Thornton Wilder's Our Town. Davies will help adapt the American classic for a Welsh context, with the production set to debut in Swansea in early 2026.
