Riffing off watery themes, trends in sea and river swimming, millennial spa days and the story of search for the mythical Fountain of Youth, the work offers a vessel of hope and youthful energy.
Fascinated by wild swimming practices, baptism and being submerged into water the artist uses imagery of iconic water fountains and the mythical Fountain as a way of exploring their impending mid-life crisis.
First performed at Carnedd, Cardiff in Autumn 2024, this work has been adapted to honour the fountain which once occupied Castle Square. A landmark of the artists' youth.
