About
MWYHAU | AMPLIFY presents world-class dance that moves between humour, ritual, play and intensity, revealing what movement can do—and how it can speak directly to us.
MWYHAU | AMPLIFY is a Richard Chappell Dance initiative exploring bold new ways to champion dance across Wales. Bringing together Richard Chappell Dance, choreographer and dancer, Aisha Naamani, and Groundswell Dance Company & County Youth Dance, the programme places professional and community performers side by side, celebrating local and national talent.
Richard Chappell Dance’s Land Empathy creates a rich, atmospheric world shaped by our connection with nature. Aisha Naamani’s No Idea What I’m Doing turns the uncertainties of adulthood into a witty, restless solo mixing contemporary dance and tap, spoken word, electronic music and Welsh choral hymn.
Together, the programme offers a snapshot of dance in Wales today—varied in style, but united in boldness and possibility. Richard Chappell Dance creates memorable and moving dance experiences for audiences across the UK and beyond and has previously created works the Royal Ballet and Opera, BBC Arts, and NDCWales.
