About
Côr Meibion Pontarddulais are pleased to be celebrating their 65th year in 2026. The Annual Concert this year will be in the delightful company of Jessica Robinson (Soprano) and Trystan Llŷr Griffiths (Tenor). Both Jessica and Trystan hail from Pembrokeshire and are sure to thrill the audience with their performances. Jessica was a runner up in the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition in 2023 and is making her debut with the choir. Trystan is a great friend of the choir having performed at several Annual Concerts.
The choir is unique in that the current musical director, Clive Phillips, is only the second MD to hold the position since its formation 65 years ago. The first was Noel Davies holding the position for 42 years with whom Clive was accompanist for many years. The current accompanist, David Last, has been with the choir for some time and is a highly regarded member of the musical team.
The organist for the evening will be Huw Tregelles-Williams a longstanding friend of the choir. The choir is proud that there are several of the original members still performing on stage. There is a strong tradition of success as a competitive choir which it is hoped to continue in years to come.
