Swansea Minster is set to host the highly anticipated world premiere of Gareth Treseder's *St Matthew Passion* on Saturday 13 March at 4pm. This significant event promises a powerful and moving rendition of the Passion story, presented entirely in the Welsh language. Audiences will be captivated by the dramatic narrative as it unfolds through Treseder's compelling musical score.
The performance will feature a distinguished line-up of vocalists, including Gareth Treseder himself, alongside Nicola Rose and Jonathan Rogers, who will bring the story to life with their exceptional talent. This unique production offers a fresh perspective on a timeless tale, allowing for a deeply resonant experience for all attendees. Entry to this extraordinary concert is free of charge, however, a retiring collection will be taken at the conclusion of the performance to support the continued work of Swansea Minster. This is a remarkable opportunity to witness a groundbreaking musical work in an inspiring setting.
While people of all ages are permitted to attend, the story of Christ's passion contains themes of suffering and grief that may not be suitable for younger children. Children must be supervised by their guardian(s) at all times.
