About
Find these monolithic pyramid light sculptures with atmospheric lasers and smoke in the city. A modern take on monuments that brought ancient peoples together to contemplate and celebrate the sun.
Vessels is where science, technology and ancient ritual collide. This sculptural installation re-imagines the monument for our digital age. Echoing the celestial alignments of stone circles and the solar geometry of the Pyramids, 'Vessels' transforms public space into a shared ritual - an experience of light as architecture. A space for calm and connection, where families, friends, and strangers can share a moment of stillness and awe.
Three monolithic pyramid structures are filled with smoke. In each, a laser mounted at the apex, shines vivid and defined rays that create three-dimensional forms, choreographed to pulse and shift with a meditative & ethereal soundscape.
This carefully constructed sculpture offers a rare opportunity to see the vivid and three dimensional forms created by high-powered lasers from an extremely close range . A unique way to engage with the physicality of light.
Looking at a laser close up is usually dangerous and can damage our eyes. A protective and transparent encasement allows people to stand right in front of the pyramids and witness the shapes shifting in time with a melodic sound track. Fluctuating between calming, mesmeric pulsing forms and kinetic dancing light beams. The overall experience is transporting and otherworldly.
