About

Love them or loath them, buses are not only a significant part of our transport history, but responsible for a leading role in our social history too. There was a time when, if you wanted to travel anywhere linked to work, rest and play in the Swansea Bay area, then you would definitely have travelled by bus – whether South Wales Transport, United Welsh, or one of the many smaller operators. Many of the vehicles in our award-winning museum pay homage to those companies, their wonderful workhorses, and the people behind them.

Our collection represents vehicles from a number of eras, as well as the variety of liveries that they wore.

As well as our buses, the museum houses a variety of other exhibits from days gone by, from agricultural to military, motorcycles to emergency vehicles. To complete our homage to all forms of transport, we have
a model railway ~ the only public layout in Wales, and a miniature motor racing circuit. There is also a play area for our youngest visitors to enjoy.
