About
We welcome the festive season to Swansea in style on Sunday 17 November 2024 with our annual Christmas Parade!
Get ready for marching bands, magical floats, festive film characters, Christmas inflatables and of course Santa and his sleigh, as they will all be making an appearance at this year’s Swansea Christmas Parade and Lights Switch On!

Accessibility
There will be loud noises, flashing lights and special effects throughout the Parade – if you need somewhere a bit quieter to enjoy the parade, the lower part of the Kingsway (St. Helen’s Road end) and High Street will be the quietest part of the route. Please be aware though that the nature of a parade means that noise and lights will be present throughout. If you have any concerns and want to discuss further, please contact us at 01792 635428. An accessible viewing area will be available on Princess Way and Orchard Street.
No booking required, just turn up on the night. Accessible toilets and limited seating also available within the viewing areas.
Parking and Travel
This year’s parade starts at 5.00pm with an anticipated finish time of approximately 6.30pm at the end of the Kingsway. Please be aware that the city centre is expected to be very busy during the afternoon and throughout the event – make sure to plan your travel accordingly and allow plenty of time to arrive and make your way to the parade route!
