About

Set sail for a weekend of adventure, culture and coastal celebration in the heart of Swansea’s Maritime Quarter.

From the small medieval quayside through the industrial revolution’s development of several large docks, servicing a once flourishing copper smelting industry, to the vibrant waterfront city we see today, Swansea’s story has been shaped by the sea.

Swansea Sea Festival brings that story to life with a packed programme of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and unforgettable experiences along the city’s waterfront.

Harbour experiences, including boat trips.

Interesting displays, including the Mumbles Lifeboat and coracles.

Nautical walkabout characters, remember to say ‘Argh’ to Captain Jack the pirate.

Sea-themed workshops and hands-on activities, plus children’s entertainment and storytelling.

Live music and sea shanty singing.

Fresh seafood and coastal-inspired street food alongside artisan producers and local traders with craft, gifts and maritime-themed stalls.
