About

Swansea Sea Festival

Set sail for a weekend of adventure, culture and coastal celebration in the heart of Swansea’s Maritime Quarter.

From the small medieval quayside through the industrial revolution’s development of several large docks, servicing a once flourishing copper smelting industry, to the vibrant waterfront city we see today, Swansea’s story has been shaped by the sea.

Swansea Sea Festival brings that story to life with a packed programme of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and unforgettable experiences along the city’s waterfront.

Plenty to enjoy

  • Harbour experiences, including boat trips.

  • Interesting displays, including the Mumbles Lifeboat and coracles.

  • Nautical walkabout characters, remember to say ‘Argh’ to Captain Jack the pirate.

  • Sea-themed workshops and hands-on activities, plus children’s entertainment and storytelling.

  • Live music and sea shanty singing.

  • Fresh seafood and coastal-inspired street food alongside artisan producers and local traders with craft, gifts and maritime-themed stalls.
