About
Tango Jazz Quartet
Sunday 6 September, 5.30pm
Ocean Room, National Waterfront Museum
We’re thrilled to welcome the Tango Jazz Quartet to this year’s Swansea International Jazz Festival for a spellbinding performance that blends the fiery spirit of Argentinian tango with the freedom and creativity of jazz improvisation.
The band made their debut in Wales at last year’s festival, with an outstanding performance that was well-received with audience feedback saying: ‘when will they be back, truly amazing!’
Well, it’s a long way from their Buenos Aries home, but as they’re touring the UK again this autumn, we just had to book them for this year’s festival.
Don’t miss Tango Jazz Quartet weaving together the passion, rhythm, and drama of traditional tango with the harmonic depth and spontaneity of jazz, creating a sound that is at once nostalgic, modern, and utterly captivating.
With 10 albums and extensive international touring, Tango Jazz Quartet has appeared on some of the world’s most prestigious jazz stages. Their music crosses borders with ease, and now they’re bringing that global energy to Swansea.
· Ezequiel Vargas – Drums
· Enzo Villar – Bass
