About

A participatory derive and zine exploring the materialities of Swansea city centre. Participants follow the sun and trace shadows as they explore the city, creating a fleeting snapshot of the city at a particular time. If the sun is unwilling to play at the time, we will have an alternative drift called Fortuna that will not need the sun.

The route is determined by participants along the way. Considerations as to access needs will be accounted for, and access barriers avoided (1.5 hours)

The drift is hosted by Tatiana Bodnar as part of her PhD in Human Geography at Swansea University, where she studies creative urban regeneration in city and town centres in South Wales. Her practice involves playful ways of inquiring in and with urban space through walking, games, and participatory action research.
