The Malthouse Restaurant by Gower Brewery is in partnership with Swansea Grand Theatre, located directly adjacent to the theatre. The Malthouse brings the Gower-based brewery right into the heart of the city within this iconic venue, and is the ideal place for a lunchtime snack, pre-show dining and interval drinks.

Our cafe is open Monday - Saturday from 10am - 2.30pm, offering hot drinks, home made cakes and light lunches.

Our evening menu is available for pre-show dining in the restaurant from 5pm on show nights (last orders are 45 minutes prior to show time). Plus a selection of Gower Brewery’s award-winning beers and interval refreshments available from the bar.

The inspiration behind The Malthouse stems back to pre-1883, when a brewery and malthouse stood in exactly the same place and where the Grand Theatre stands now. This was the perfect way to honour Swansea's rich history while bringing a modern touch and Gower Brewery's beloved beers under one roof.
